Vist www.thewharfal.com for updated information. The Hangout, located at the corner of Hwy 59 and 182 opens May 2 on the site of the original beachside restaurant of the late 1950's. This casual, open-air restaurant will feature three outdoor theme bars, a stage for live music, and a projection screen to show classic beach movies - all just steps off the beach. Guy Harvey's Island Grill, Shop and Gallery recently opened at The Wharf in Orange Beach. The restaurant features American coastal cuisine served in a nautical and fish-themed atmosphere, a game room and a large outdoor bar overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and The Wharf Marina. Across the veranda from the restaurant is the first Guy Harvey gallery in the United States. Finally, Captain Skip Beebe of Sailaway Charters is now offering a 90 minute beach walk, during which guests will gain a new appreciation and understanding of the area's dynamic coastal ecosystems. Tours are slated for Saturdays and Sundays at 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and cost $12.00 for adults, $5.00 for children under 10 and free to those 2 and under. Tours are also available via reservation. |
